Immediately following your PMU procedure, it is normal to have some redness, swelling, bruising and oozing of the area. You eyebrows will appear darker for the first week. To keep maximum pigment retention and avoid infection we recommend the following guidelines.
EYEBROWS
We advise to gently clean the treated area with damp cotton wool (moistened with sterile warm water ie cool boiled water poured into a small bowl allowing the water to cool down) to wipe away any residue throughout day 1 & 2 and pat dry with a clean tissue
Day 1 & 2 – Clean eyebrows with cooled boiled water throughout days 1 & 2 (minimum 6 times) then apply ointment to moisturise the treated area.
Day 3 – 7 – Apply ointment morning and evening to moisturise the treaded area.
Keep eyebrows dry while showering and avoid all products in the eyebrows for 7 days.
REMEMBER
This is a two part procedure and requires you to attend your second session for any refinements or adjustments to the treated area. The final result can not be seen or judged until full healing has taken place and you have had your follow up appointment.
Please remember PMU is not to replace the make-up in your cosmetic bag but to enhance your features naturally, giving you the confidence to go without make-up if you so wish but also give you a great base to follow when applying your make-up.
The machines and pigments we use are of the highest standard however outcomes may vary depending on the individual and we can not guarantee results. This procedure is not a NO maintenance procedure but a LOW maintenance one. Just like your hair grows out and needs regular colour applied and your Botox and fillers need topped up, PMU is the same and even although it remains in the skin for many years it fades over time and this will vary depending on the individual. If you have oily skin your PMU will fade quicker, if you use sunbeds it will also fade quicker. If it is sunny outside you should be wearing sunblock. If you use AHA creams, have peels or exfoliate it will fade quicker. It will not disappear overnight though and is called permanent because it doesn’t wash off.You may return months or years later for a session to re-fresh or re-do the area and we will advise how many sessions we think you may require. If you have any concerns about colour or shape of your eyebrows you must contact the clinic within 6 weeks otherwise further treatments are chargeable.
